June 2007 – Moving from ordinary to extra-ordinary
As Zig Ziglar says: “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.” They say the second mile is a wonderful place, it is the first mile which is over crowded. Most people do what they have to do. They do just enough to get by. Few people do more than is expected of them, however, successful and significant people make a habit of going beyond the call of duty. They have learnt the secret of the second wind and seem to love breaking through that wall which every worthy goal demands us to break through. They seek out the wall so that they can experience that part of life which few people qualify to experience.
Share some examples and experiences from your own life that demonstrate the existence of a second wind.

Dr. John Stanko Seminar:

FIND YOUR PURPOSE
Everyone wants clarity and order, no matter how creative they may be. Every day, you face crucial decisions concerning where to invest your time and energy, decisions that make the difference between clarity and confusion, order and chaos.
Recently I received a letter from a woman in England. I have worked with this woman for two years as she desperately sought clarity of purpose. There were times that she was so frustrated, but she stayed true to her PurposeQuest. This is what she wrote:
"My purpose is to bring more joy and happiness into the world. I do this through my sense of humor and sense of fun and also through dance and my own personal brand of drama and entertainment and much laughter. It is my desire that people should always feel happier and more uplifted for having been in my presence"
My two life-defining passages from the Bible are "The joy of the Lord is my strength" (Nehemiah 8:10) and "A merry heart does good, like medicine" (Proverbs 17:22). And as an aside, I work as a legal secretary (but that is not my purpose). What do you think of that then! I feel so much better now! - Rose in London
When you clarify your purpose, you do feel better, and you are more productive and focused. But it is common to need some help along the way as you walk your own path. Join me during 2007 with the PurposeClub when I will share with you my experience to help you have the kind of clarity that Rose has, the kind of clarity you need to be a person of purpose.
